Kona-chan and Zol Balfaltin from the manga series "Immortal Rain" by Kaori Ozaki
(Actually they've only appeared together in a one-shot, side-story type of thing, but I hope they show up again soon. They're very cute together ^_^ )
The baby is supposed to be Machika, the heroine of Immortal Rain (she's 14-16 in the actual manga series), and Kona-chan is her mother (based on the one-shot, I'm assuming something happens to Kona-chan, and Machika is adopted by Zol (who she refers to as "Grandfather Zol" in the manga))
EDIT: Maybe I should have found/read "The Grim Reaper of the East" first...(I couldn't find a scanlation until just recently). Waaah, but now I'm sad TT_TT I guess this is more of an AU picture now *sniff*
Anyway, just a quick sketch/speed paint. And I highly recommend the Immortal Rain series; it's one of my all-time favorites ^_^

AWwwww! I love this! Machica's mom is so pretty! she looks so much like her!!! I love the coloring and light in this! its so soft and happy! I wonder if Kona ever got to hold her baby... this is a very beautiful and emotional picture!
